Out client is an IT system integrator company, managing projects in the steel industry. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the IT infrastructure (Hardware to Middleware) for the user and the application team. This position will be based in Cilegon.
Responsibilities:
Manage the IT infrastructure of production control system to be available as defined in the target SLA.
Scope of the IT infrastructure are Hardware (server, storage, devices), OS and Middleware. (WebApp, DB, Scheduler, etc.)
Daily Operations:
Plan and propose configuration changes to superior and user when there is a request from user or application team.
Prepare procedure, implement and test for approved the config change. Report the test results to the superiors and user.
Prepare and execute migration and monitoring on the production server. Report the results to the superiors and user.
Regularly monitor for system alerts. If any disruption is found or reported by the user, conduct troubleshooting in coordination with the team, users, and vendors.
Proactively propose for improvements or preventive actions if any issues found in the current system configuration.
Collaboration/Communication:
Report line is Infrastructure team leader and the manager who is above application and infrastructure team.
Regularly report the service status of IT infrastructure to the superiors and the user.
Communicate with the application team for infrastructure related matters (ex. infra related error, resource issue, etc.).
Help other member(s) in the infrastructure team, not only technically but also to perform better as a team.
Prepare report documents submit to the superiors or the user in English.
Must have requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, IT, business computer, or related field.
Language – English: Able to read and write business documents, communicate in business meeting, read vendor manuals.
Working in IT company or IT department for at least 2 years.
Working as server administrator of UNIX/Linux server for at least 1 year.
UNIX/Linux server administration by command line. (LPIC-1 level).
Shell script programming for automating server administration tasks.
Understand the IT products by reading vendor’s English manuals.
Ability to give logical reasoning for the cause of a problem, based on facts and product’s specification.
Desired experience:
- Working as database administrator for more than 1 year.
- Experience in implementing Java Web App system infrastructure.
- Design and implement one of following products: VMWare vSphere, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM MQ.
- Experience in running a mission critical system.
- Experience of working as a leader of a team.
- Experience in automating server administration task by own script.
- Experience in implementing DevOps automation platform. (ex. IaC, CI/CD, container, etc.)
- Working in/for a manufacturing company.
Working in Japanese companies.
Desired skills:
- DBMS administration. (Oracle Bronze, etc.)
- Compare and evaluate multiple products or architectures of IT infrastructure considering RASIS.
- Understand the basic quality assurance concepts to create test cases.
- Good interpersonal skills. The ability to collaborate with the members to help and lead the team.
- Positive and subjective attitude to work in a team.
