Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Strategy: Develop and execute financial strategies that support business goals.
  2. Operational Oversight: Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting.
  3. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks to safeguard assets and profitability.
  4. Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to spot trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  5. Investor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with investors, analysts, and financial institutions.
  6. Capital Allocation: Optimize resource allocation to maximize shareholder value.
  7. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and accounting standards.
  8. Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing finance team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • CPA/CFA certification is a plus.
  • 15+ years of financial leadership experience, ideally in the education sector.
  • Expertise in accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and education-specific standards (e.g., FASB 116).
  • Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis for educational institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of financial markets and investment strategies relevant to education.
  • Familiarity with federal/state financial aid programs and regulations.
  • Understanding of risk management in the education industry.
  • Experience with ERP systems and finance software used in educational institutions.
